Ministers Thalatha Athukorale, D.M. Swaminathan and Ravi Samaraweera are hot favourites to receive Justice and Buddha Sasana Minister Wijedasa Rajapaksa's Cabinet portfolios, political sources said.
Atukorale and Swaminathan have been suggested as potential replacements for Rajapakshe as the Minister of Justice.
If Atukorale gets the ministry, she will be the first woman to hold the position of Justice Minister in Sri Lanka.
Atukorale, a lawyer by profession, is the sister of former UNP General Secretary Gamini Atukorale.
Meanwhile. speculation is rife that Ravi Samaraweera, a Parliamentarian representing the Badulla District, will replace Rajapakshe as the Buddha Sasana Minister.
