Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa had said only his pet dog(Tommiya) had managed to escape Police investigations under the current government. 

The former President had made this remark while speaking to a group of Joint Opposition MP at his official residence at the Wijerama Mawatha, last week. 

The MPs had asked for the former President's opinion on the Police investigations into former first lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa and his youngest son Rohitha Rajapaksa. 

"All my family members have been questioned by Police now. Most of them have been prosecuted. Only Tommiya is yet to be investigated," the former President had quipped. 

He had also added that all these investigations were part of a systematic political witch-hunt.

The former first lady was questioned in connection with the murder of Rugby player Wasim Thajudeen while Rohitha Rajapaksa was questioned on the Supreme SAt satellite project.
