Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe's opinion on the controversy surrounding Justice Minister Wijedasa Rajapakshe is likely to be conveyed to the party today, informed party sources said.
The Prime Minister has come under pressure from the party Parliamentary group and the Working Committee to remove Rajapakshe from the Cabinet position.
At the Working Committee meeting on Thursday, Wickremesinghe said he would make his position clear on Monday.
The party's future course of action on Rajapakshe's matter will depend on Wickremesinghe's opinion on the removal of Rajapakshe.
The party Working Committee has already adopted a five point motion against the Justice Minister who is accused of protesting the former first family from the law enforcement bodies.
