Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage Minister Ranjan Ramanayake said that some Ministers in the government were robbing like ‘leeches sucking blood.’

“I always say things as they are,” the Minister said, “Some in the government are robbing like leeches sucking blood.”

“They couldn’t contain themselves,” the Minister said, explaining, “After coming into power after so long out of power, they robbed and robbed and robbed,” he said.

“It is some of these robbers who have recently got caught,” the Minister said.   

“What the President is trying to do, with setting up these commissions, is to keep his elections promises,” the Social Empowerment, Welfare and Kandyan Heritage further avowed.
