Sports Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera expressed confidence of the revival of the Sri Lanka cricket team, and said he would call for a meeting with the players soon.

Addressing the media at the weekly Cabinet press briefing the Minister said he had already called for a report on the current status with the team.

The Sri Lanka cricket team is under pressure following a dismal 3-0 series loss to India last week.

Several have laid blame with cricket authorities and have called for the dismissal of Sri Lanka cricket President Thilanga Sumathipala.
