A protest has been organised against Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) at the Independence Square tomorrow (16).

The protestors are up in arms against Sri Lanka’s 3-0 defeat to India and are blaming cricket officials.

The protestors say Sri Lanka’s defeat is ‘unacceptable’ and that cricket officials must take responsibility for the humiliation. 

Meanwhile former Sri Lanka captain and Petroleum Resources Development Minister has called for the resignation of SLC President Thilanga Sumathipala.

Sumathipala and his Board are widely criticised for Sri Lanka’s recent failures and public opinion is in favour of his resignation.
