Former Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanayake, who resigned from his Cabinet position this afternoon, joined UNP backbench MPs in Parliament.
He posed for a picture with UNP MPs Ajith Mannapperuma and Nalin Bandara, his new colleagues in the backbench.
Karunanayake, in his speech, said he would continue to function as a backbench MP and protect the government of ‘Good Governance’.
He said time and history would one day determine the place he deserved.
