Heavy, unprecedented traffic has been reported in and around the Keleniya Bridge owing to a signboard that fell over this morning.

The areas of Peliyagoda, Dematagoda and Orugodawatte are affected by traffic that has built up as a result of the fallen signboard.

Police had to close one lane in an attempt to divert traffic from the area.

Citizens lament the absence of a rapid action team to rectify the situation that occurred over three hours ago.
