A sign board fell over a truck in the Peliyagoda area this morning, causing heavy traffic in the Colombo-Kandy road.

Police suspect the sign board collapsed due to strong winds this morning. However, the incident raises a serious questions on the way sign boards affect road safety. 

Although the incident caused no serious casualty, thousands of motorists were inconvenienced due to heavy traffic during rush hours.
