The two suspects arrested in connection to the assault on two policemen in Kopai, Jaffna were re-remanded till August 10 by the Jaffna Magistrate.

The two suspects – aged 20 and 23 – were arrested by the Jaffna Police on August 30.

The incident occurred when a gang of men on motorcycles launched an attack on the two policemen using swords and clubs.
