Court Issues Warrants On Petroleum Workers For Failing To Show Up In Court

Arrest warrants were issued on 16 Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) workers who failed to show up in court yesterday.

The sixteen CPC workers were part of a group arrested for disrupting oil supply and distribution on July 26.

The arrest was made after the government declared that fuel distribution was an essential service.

The military was deployed to assist the non-striking workers in ensuring the fuel distribution across the country.
