President Maithripala Sirisena, congratulating the newly elected Indian President Ram Nath Kovind expressed his willingness to work closely with the new Indian President to further develop and strengthen excellent bilateral relations and cooperation which exists between the two countries.

Sending a congratulatory message to President Kovind, the President stated that the vision and maturity of the new President will enormously be beneficial in achieving harmony and unity that will encompass all communities in India.
