Arjuna Mahendran Ordered To Hand Over All Communication Devices

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) into the Treasury Bond issue ordered former Central Bank Governor Arjuna Mahendran to hand over all communication devices used after 2015 to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Police.

Mahendran in accused of insider trading during the issuance of bonds that saw a company allegedly owned by his son-in-law make what the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE) termed ‘unprecedented gains’. 

Mahendran’s son-in-law Arjun Aloysius was on Monday (24) ordered to hand over all communication devices used during the 2015-2016 period to the CID of the Police.

Aloysius had handed over the devices but it was alleged the devices were only six months old, and not the devices used since 2015.
