The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has called off trade union action scheduled for today.
The GMOA called off trade union action after discussions with Law and Order Minister Sagala Ratnayaka.
The GMOA had intended to a launch a 24-hr token strike from 8 a.m. today.
Although they began the strike at 8 a. m. the strike was called off early.
The GMOA threatened trade union action after the government failed to meet its demands by yesterday (24).
