Ports and Shipping Minister Mahinda Samrasinghe, at a visit to the Trincomalee harbor recently, said there was a three-year plan in the pipeline, for the development of the Trincomalee harbor.

He said the plan included identifying land of about 10, 000 hectares belonging to the harbor and to gazette them, utilize these lands for the future development of the harbor, and develop the current four terminals of the harbor for commercial purposes.
