Petroleum unions attached to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) will strike from midnight tonight (24).
The unions allege government inaction on demands made previously have prompted renewed trade union action.
An indefinite strike launched on April 24 only came to a halt with the mediation of Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
The trade unions are demanding, among other things, that Sri Lanka reneges on a proposed deal with India to manage over 99 oil tanks in Trincolmalee.
