Veteran music producer Somapala Rathnayake passed away at the age of 69.

He was receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital when he passed away.

Somapala Rathnayake is the older brother of veteran singer Victor Rathnayake.

He is responsible for songs that were featured in the movies Sellamuthupinna, Kauda Boley Alice and many more.
