A large mound of garbage is seen accumulating outside the ‘Dutch Hospital’ complex in Colombo which houses many star-class restaurants including ‘Ministry of Crab’ owned by legendary cricketers Mahela Jayawardena and Kumar Sangakkara.
Patrons have voiced their displeasure to the pile of rotting garbage but authorities are yet to remove the garbage.
Many are accusing the current government of not doing enough to maintain the establishments built by the former regime.
The Dutch Hospital is the brainchild of former Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa who converted the colonial-era hospital into a modern complex.
