Thisara Perera Fit To Play Must-Win Game Against Pakistan

Thisara Perera, who was hit by a ball on the head during practice sessions on Saturday, is in a position to play today's match against Pakistan, SLC sources said.

Perera remained under close medical observation on Sunday. It has now been revealed that the incident had made no serious impact on the Sri Lankan all-rounder.

"The playing eleven will be decided after examining the pitch prior to the match," they added.

The ODI against Pakistan is a must-win game for Sri Lanka to qualify for semi-finals.

They also said the Sri Lankan team was in a positive mindset after its comprehensive victory against India.

Dhananjaya de Silva, who flew to England as Kusal Janith Perera's replacement, started his practice sessions yesterday. Specialist spinner and batsman Dilruwan Perera has also joined the Sri Lankan squad.
