Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe returned to the island yesterday after his personal visit to the United States.
Wickremsinghe spent two weeks in New York where he underwent an extensive medical check-up at one of the world's finest hospitals.
His close allies said the Prime Minister's health situation was satisfactory.
A number of UNP Ministers, including Law and Order Minister Sagala Ratnayaka and Foreign Minister Ravi Karunanaayake, greeted the Prime Minister at the airport.
He is expected to attend the weekly Cabinet meeting, on Tuesday.
