The Meteorological Department has said that the prevailing showery weather conditions over Southwestern part of the Island will ceased by June 10.

It said, however, that several spells of showers would occur in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Northwestern provinces.

Fairly strong winds about 50 kmph can be expected over Polonnaruwa, Ampara, Batticaloa, Mathale and Hambantota districts, it further said.
