The Cabinet of Ministers approved the policy presented to Cabinet by City Planning and water Supply Minister Rauf Hakeem to implement a national policy on sanitation.

The policy in question had been presented to the Cabinet before but was recompiled, taking into consideration several of the observations made by relevant parties.

These included the National Steering Committee appointed improve its contents and the Ministers of Finance, Megapolis and Western Development and Education.
