Landslide warning issued on the districts of Ratnapura, Kalutara, Kegalle, Galle, Matara, Hambanthota and Nuwara Eliya have been extended a further 24 hours, the National Building Research Organizations (NBRO) said.

The landslide warnings were issued in the aftermath of floods and landslides – particularly in the Ratnapura district – that have claimed as many as 203 lives.

Fifteen districts, including the aforementioned have been affected by extreme weather conditions that has displaced an estimated 73, 421 and affected over 600, 000 people.
