Officers of the Sri Lanka Navy, together with local residents, helped redirect a pod of whales that were stranded on the beach close to Sampoor jetty in Trincomalee.

Navy personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command together with the local community redirected as many as 20 whales that had been stranded on the beach in Trincomalee.
