TNA Northern Province Council Member M.K. Sivajilingam, who is known as a radical, has called for a protest coinciding with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon's visit to Jaffna.
Speaking at the Jaffna Press Club yesterday, he called on the protesters to gather near the District Secretariat by mid-day.
Sivajilingam said that the protest will be held to inform the Secretary General of several issues including resettlement, war crimes allegations and the need for foreign judges for a war crimes investigation.
The UN Secretary General will meet the Northern Province Governor, Chief Minister and a delegation of the TNA including party leader R. Sampanthan during his visit.
