The Department of Meteorology  says that fairly heavy showers will occur across parts of Sri Lanka. Showers or thundershowers are expected in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, Uva, and North-western provinces during the evening and night. 

The Met Department forecasts rainfall of up to 75 mm in some areas of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Central provinces.

In addition, showers may also occur in a few places in the Northern and Eastern provinces during the morning. Misty conditions are expected in parts of the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Uva provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
