Former Secretary of Defence Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Avant-Garde Maritime Services Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi and six others were issued notice to appear before Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court on September 30 over the corruption case filed by the Bribery Commission.
The commission filed a case yesterday against the eight individuals over giving permission for the Avant-Garde company to operate a floating armory, allowing the company to earn an estimates Rs 11.4 billion.
They are charged for corruption under the Bribery Act.
