UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon arrived in Sri Lanka this evening for a three day official visit as part of his Asia tour.
He was welcomed at the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport by Deputy Foreign Minister Harsha de Silva.
The UN Chief will meet the Prime Minister, President, Foreign Minister and other officials in Sri Lanka. He will also visit Jaffna and Galle.
Ban Ki-moon will leave the island on September 2 for China.
