Sri Lanka Freedom Party Central Committee will meet this evening at the President's official residence.

The meeting is likely to discuss the statements issued by some members of the party on avoiding its 65th anniversary celebrations.

Furthermore, discussions are expected to be held over the replacement of several party organizer positions which are vacant.

The 65th anniversary of the SLFP falls on September 2. The event to mark the anniversary is to be held on September 4.
