A 26-year-old individual from Moratuwa has been arrested for allegedly hacking the President's official web site.
This brings the number of arrests over the hacking of the web site to two. A 17-year-old schoolboy was arrested in Kadugannawa yesterday over the same incident.
The website was hacked on two consecutive days, on August 25 and 26. The first hacking was done by a Sri Lankan individual or group who posted a message in Sinhalese. The second hacking was claimed to be the work of a Bangladeshi.
However the Computer Emergency Readiness Team (CERT) later said that both the attacks were likely done locally.
