Sri Lanka Navy officers seized 25kg Kerala cannabis floating in sea, Kandakuliya Kalpitiya area, due to a tipoff by a local fisherman on Friday. Navy suspects that the stack must have been smuggled from India and dropped in sea. 

Meanwhile another raid took place due to information received by naval intelligence, by officers of Navy with the support of Excise officers of Point Pedro, in Chavakachcheri yesterday. A suspect was taken into custody while transporting 20kg Kerala Cannabis and later found 10kg stash. 

The suspect and the stack was handed over to Point Pedro Excise Department for further investigation.
