Colombo Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today ordered for a JMO report on National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa's brother Sarath Weerawansa after considering a motion filed by the FCID.

The FCID informed court that they have been unable to record a statement from Sarath Weerawansa over an allegation that he had misused vehicles of the Presidential Secretariat and the State Engineering Corporation when Wimal Weerawansa was a minister.

Sarath Weerawansa had claimed that he was unable to give a statement due to ill health.

Police came to know that Sarath Weerawansa was currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kiribathgoda, the court was also told.
