Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday said that the government was implementing projects proposed in his 'Mahinda Chinthana' programme and that it is using these projects to even bargain for foreign aid.
Speaking at a meeting in Piliyandala yesterday, Rajapaksa said that the Port City, Mattala Airport, Industrial complexes were all proposed by his government. The present government is inviting foreign investments to the same projects, he said.
Rajapaksa also revealed that he invited the Koreans to invest in Sri Lanka, pointing out that the present government was carrying out the projects proposed by him. The government is effectively selling the 'Mahinda Chinthanaya' to the world, he argued.
