The 'good governance government' decided to hold its first anniversary rally in Matara due to a decision of the UNP, UPFA MP Dullas Alahapperuma said today.
Announcing his decision to resign as Matara District SLFP leader, he said that Matara District was chosen since the people of the district had vehemently rejected the 'good governance government' at the 2015 August General Election.
Alahapperuma added that the 'Joint Opposition' was completely against the SLFP's collaboration with the UNP.
President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe will be attending the first anniversary of the good governance national government at Sanath Jayasuriya grounds, Matara, today.
