Colombo Additional District Judge M.A.A. Navarthne recently ordered popular tuition master, author and movie producer Upul Shantha Sannasgala and Power House Ltd to pay compensation of 2.5 million Rupees each to Ajith Galappaththi, regarding comments insulting him in a TV program.

Galappaththi, who is a journalist, movie critic and author, said that his reputation was tarnished by Sannasgala's comments in 360, a television programme, on TV Derana.

Galappaththi filed a case against Dilka Samanmali of Power House Ltd and Upul Shantha Sannasgala, demanding for compensation of Rs 10 million for allegedly insulting him on 8th and 13th of July, 2008.
