The Director General of UNESCO Irina Bokova will be meeting Sri Lankan scientists this morning at the Galadari, Colombo.

The meeting has been arranged by Ministry of Technology and Research and Sri Lanka Foundation Institute.

She will be discussing on the scientific programs to be carried out in Sri Lanka by the UN through the UNESCO and the manner in which the Sri Lankan scientists can contribute to these programs. 

Bokova arrived in the country on Sunday in her first official visit to Sri Lanka and will be leaving the island tomorrow.
