Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga claimed that an investigation is being carried out on the purchase of six fighter jets by the former Defence Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
"Out of the six fighter jets purchased, all six crashed, and one crashed on its way here" she claimed.
Three times the price of the fighter jets have been paid and the balance money has been traced to an account of Gotabaya in a foreign country, Kumaratunga also claimed.
Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa could not have won the war without what her government had done and without the weapons her government purchased, she claimed. "I had finished three fourths of the war" she said.
