Some 'Joint Opposition' MPs attended Parliamentary sessions today wearing black belts around their arms and necks in opposition to the Missing Persons Office to be established.

The bill pertaining to the MPO is to be presented to Parliament today.

The protesting MPs included Dinesh Gunawardena, Pavithra Wanniarachchi and Jayantha Samaraweera.

Meanwhile a group of 'Joint Opposition' MPs wrote to the President yesterday asking him to seek the opinion of the Supreme Court on the bill.
