Co-cabinet Spokesperson Minister Rajitha Senaratne stated that lands in Kaduwela and Brown's Hill, Matara, which are said to be owned by former Minister Basil Rajapaksa are to be confiscated by the government.

This was stated at the Cabinet press briefing at the Department of Government Information.

A police training center and a tourism training center are planned to be built in the Kaduwela and Matara premises respectively, Senaratne said.
