Sri Lanka's judoka Chamara Dharmawardhana was eliminated from the 2016 Rio Olympics men's 73kg judo competition in the round of 16 by Georgia's Lasha Shavdautashvili.

The Georgian won the gold medal in men's 66kg judo in 2012 London Olympics. He competes in 73 kg category at Rio.

Dharmawardhana defeated American Samoa's Benjamin Waterhouse to advance to Round of 16 earlier today.
