Former Minister Basil Rajapaksa and former Director general of Divi Neguma Department Kithsiri Ranawake were granted bail by the Colombo High Court today over alleged financial fraud at the Divi Neguma Department.

The AG did not object to granting bail on the ground that the investigations have been concluded.

The High Court directed the Kaduwela Magistrate to impose bail conditions. The case will be taken up at Kaduwela Magistrate's Court today.

On July 18, Rajapaksa was arrested by the FCID over an alleged financial misconduct at the Divi Neguma Department when he was the Minister of Economic Development.
