National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) for the first time over allegedly incurring a loss of Rs 100 million to the government.

He has allegedly allowed his confidants to use officials vehicles of the State Engineering Corporation while he was the Minister of Minister of Construction, Engineering Services, Housing and Common Amenities.
