National Freedom Front leader Wimal Weerawansa yesterday challenged the official Opposition to bring to the streets at least half the crowd seen at the Joint Opposition rally on August 1.

Speaking to the media yesterday, he said that the people are with the 'Joint Opposition' as it was vividly shown by the success of the rally.

The success of the rally can be seen by the reaction of the rivals of the 'Joint Opposition. he also said.

The TNA and the JVP constitute the opposition in Parliament along with the UPFA MPs against the government who have branded themselves as the 'Joint Opposition.'
