National Freedom Front Leader Wimal Weerawansa claimed that the members of the security contingents of the Parliamentarians taking part in the 'Jana Satana' march have been recalled to Colombo today.

He made this claim last night at the conclusion of the penultimate day of the march.

The protest march will reach Colombo this afternoon.

Weerawansa also said that an organizer was arrested for hiring a crane to pay floral tributes to a statue of a former General Secretary of the SLFP. The crane was hired according to the laws, he said. Under President Maithripala Sirisena's government, members of his own party cannot pay floral tributes to a former Secretary of the party, he added.
