Former Digamadulla District TNA MP Podiappuhamy Piyasena was arrested by Colombo Crime Division today over the failure to hand over a government vehicle.

A driver suddenly arrived in the vehicle at the Kollupitiya Police Station yesterday and he was arrested along with the vehicle. Piyasena was arrested today.

Piyasena was elected to Parliament from Digamadulla District under the TNA ticket but joined the UPFA later. He contested from the UPFA ticket in the 2015 election but was not elected.
