The 'Joint Opposition' Jana Satana Paada Yatra will be launched from near the Gatambe Temple outside the Kandy city limits, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa said last night.

The Kandy Magistrate's Court yesterday issued an injunction order against starting the march from within Kandy city limits.

The 'Joint Opposition' representatives took part in religious observances in the Dalada Maligawa last night. They had earlier planned to conduct religious observances at the Maligawa this morning.

Rajapaksa said that the 'Joint Opposition' representatives will engage in religious activities today at Gatambe before launching the march.
