The People's Action for Free and Fair Election (PAFFREL) filed a Fundamental Rights petition with the Supreme Court yesterday seeking an order to hold Local Government polls where delimitation has been completed.

PAFFREL said that the Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government Faizer Mustapha is deliberately delaying the delimitation.

PAFFREL has named the Minister, Secretary to the Ministry, Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya and eight others as respondents.
