National Freedom Front Spokesman Mohomad Muzammil's lawyers filed a fresh bail application with Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court, seeking bail on exceptional grounds considering the health of his children.

The Magistrate remanded Muzammil further till August 10 and directed that the order on the bail application will be given on that day.

Muzammil is in remand custody over the alleged misuse of a Presidential Secretary vehicle. He had earlier filed a bail application, which was refused by the Magistrate on July 13.
