President Maithripala Sirisena blamed officials for not inviting UPFA MPs Namal Rajapaksa and Chamal Rajapaksa for the meeting with SLFP 'Joint Opposition' MPs, UPFA MP Dallas Alahapperuma said.

Speaking to the media today, Alahapperuma also claimed that President Sirisena did not directly answer their questions on the extension of the UNP-SLFP agreement to five years. The extension has been done without the approval of the party Central Committee, he explained.

Party Secretary General Duminda Dissanayake had made the announcement of the extension of the agreement recently.

The meeting between SLFP MPs of the 'Joint Opposition' and the President was held last night at the President's residence in Colombo.
