Police cordoned off a section of the city of Almaty, the largest city in Kazakhstan, after a shooting incident.

The Interior Ministry of the country said that two policement were shot in the incident. A religious fanatic was suspected to be involved.

Meanwhile, reports from the city said several buildings were shot at in the incident
